{"id":350,"date":"2015-06-18T13:35:38","date_gmt":"2015-06-18T12:35:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.igaware.com\/blog\/?p=350"},"modified":"2015-06-18T13:50:50","modified_gmt":"2015-06-18T12:50:50","slug":"igaware-version-11-0-0-2-released-igaware-linuxsbs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.igaware.com\/blog\/igaware-version-11-0-0-2-released-igaware-linuxsbs\/","title":{"rendered":"Igaware Version 11.0.0-2 released #Igaware #linuxsbs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This blog entry details updates in latest release plus other recent releases not mentioned on here before now.<\/p>\n<p>New in Version 11.0.0-2 [Mon June 15 2015]<br \/>\n========================================<\/p>\n<p>* New Features and Improvements *<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated the Linux Kernel to v3.18.14<\/li>\n<li>Updated the OpenSSL software to the latest version.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the nmap network discovery software to the lastest version.<\/li>\n<li>Updated &#8220;Ping scan lan&#8221; in System=&gt; Tools to use fing instead of ping.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the PHP software to a new version.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the anti-virus scanner to the latest version.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the Anti-Spam software to the latest version. Added new plugins.<\/li>\n<li>The kernel boot grub scripts have been re-rwitten to allow EFI booting for new hardware.Removed the SSLv3 protocol for the Igaware Web server, when high security is selected.<\/li>\n<li>Created and installed a new TLS certificate for sendmail in \/etc\/mail\/certs.<br \/>\n&#8211; Removed some old directories from the web server path &#8211; \/addresbook, \/addr and \/icons.<\/li>\n<li>Added a facility to the AV software to ignore problem &#8220;false positive&#8221; signatures. Note: this has only been used once.<\/li>\n<li>Re-compiled curl to include ca-bundle certificate path.<\/li>\n<li>Changed the memory allocator for the AV daemon to improve performance.<\/li>\n<li>Added winbindd daemon check to the System Status Console. This will prevent the log files filling up if the daemon gets confused.<\/li>\n<li>Added sender based address routing to the Email server. Servers=&gt; Email=&gt; SMTP Forward. A new option &#8220;forwarding based on&#8221; has been added.<\/li>\n<li>Installed secure tunneling software &#8211; stunnel.<\/li>\n<li>The default networking qdisc has been changed to fq_codel. This should help with network &#8220;buffer bloat&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the Iscsi kernel modules for new kernel version.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the IPSec VPN kernel module to use the Libreswan version for the new kernel.<\/li>\n<li>Re-compiled curl to include ca-bundle certificate path<\/li>\n<li>Installed the sshfs software to allow mounting of remote directories.<\/li>\n<li>Updated hardware sensors software.<\/li>\n<li>Installed Perl modules &#8211; Net\/Patricia, IO\/Socket\/IP, and a few more for the Anti-Spam email scanner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Fixes *<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Fixed a problem when setting the Email &#8220;vacation&#8221; notice in the Horde groupware. The bug was introduced with the new version of Sendmail.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a problem with the email &#8220;vacation&#8221; message database introduced with the new version of the Sendmail email server.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a bug with unknown local recipient forwarding that was intorduced with the new version of the Sendmail software.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an bug with the System Status Console daemon.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed the Log Viewer export function. The exported file format would sometimes be corrupted.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a problem with a new feature for the Email trailer blacklist. Add an extra space after :, incase there isn&#8217;t any.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the Dynamic DNS software to fix a bug.<\/li>\n<li>Removed restriction for sslv3 SSL protocol &#8211; some old browsers don&#8217;t support TLS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New in Version 10.3.4 [Sun Apr 19 2015]<br \/>\n=======================================<\/p>\n<p>* New Features and Improvements *<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installed latest version of sendmail mail server. Provides security updates.<\/li>\n<li>New advanced Email anti-spam features added.<\/li>\n<li>New feature added to the File Server &#8211; Windows Shadow Copy feature ( Restore<br \/>\nprevious versions). This has been added to the Fileserver Share config&#8217; page.<br \/>\nYou can enable the Shadow Copy feature for any File Server Share and be able to<br \/>\nuse the &#8220;Restore previous versions&#8221; tab in Windows.<\/li>\n<li>Added USB 3.0 drivers to Linux kernel code.<\/li>\n<li>Updated the Check-in page to show general network interface information in a<br \/>\npopup window.<\/li>\n<li>Zarafa Server cache is now cleared on a Sunday to limit VM usage.<\/li>\n<li>Added network access control to PPTP VPN. You can now limit the destination<br \/>\nLAN network that is accessible during a PPTP session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Fixes *<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed a problem when exporting logs for viewing in Log Viewer. Old logs would<br \/>\nappear corrupt and would not open.<\/li>\n<li>Corrected the firewall rule placement for &#8220;Port Input&#8221; REJECT rules.<\/li>\n<li>Port Forward config&#8217; page. Fixed a page renering problem.<\/li>\n<li>Re-written HTTP communication functions.
